taught English Literature at Kinnaird College and Lahore Grammar School and heads Simorgh Women’s Resource and Publication Centre, Lahore. She is a writer, editor and translator and was country editor for Pakistan for the Zubaan series on sexual violence and impunity: ‘Disputed Legacies – The Pakistan Papers, and has translating Zaheda Hina’s Na Janoon Raha Na Pari Rahi (All Passion Spent) and Khadija Mastur’s Aangan (Inner Courtyard) in English. As a member of Simorgh Human Rights and participatory learning teams, her other work includes participatory learning and mother tongue teaching for public school teachers and production of Human Rights school texts, the ‘Kaleidoscope’ primers and the tri-lingual ‘Larrian’ readers for children.
