Mazher Zaheer – Head of Finance & Operations

Mazher Zaheer is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in financial and operational management across the development, human rights, and non-profit sectors. He currently serves as Head of Finance & Operations at Roshan Development Foundation. Previously, he was Director of Operations at Bargad (2018–2022). He held senior roles at Shirkat Gah and Heinrich Böll Stiftung (HBS), where he served 18 years as Head of Finance & Administration, supporting regional offices across South and Southeast Asia and ensuring compliance with EU, BMZ, and German Foreign Office standards. Earlier in his career, he worked with Amnesty International, Sumitomo Corporation-Japan, and Dawn Newspaper. His expertise includes finance, HR, compliance, audits, M&E, and institutional capacity building. He holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Accounting.
