Abbas Rashid
Director
is a seasoned education policy analyst with extensive experience in teacher training, textbook analysis, and assessment. He is the Executive Director of the Society for the Advancement of Education (SAHE), a Lahore-based organization active in education research, teacher training, and advocacy for over 30 years. His work focuses on in-service teacher training, language and learning, and education for citizenship in Pakistan. He has collaborated with government institutions like the Directorate of Staff Development and the School Education Department. Abbas co-edited Educational Crisis and Reform: Perspectives from South Asia (OUP, 2015) and writes on education quality and equity. As SAHE’s founder and current Executive Director, he has led key initiatives and served on the governing bodies of the Punjab Examination Commission and the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board.
