Roshan Development Foundation (RDF)

As a newly established organization, Roshan Development Foundation (RDF) formally commenced its operations in 2025 and has already demonstrated a strong commitment to evidence-based programming and knowledge generation. During its inaugural year, RDF produced two thematic reports that document key social and development challenges affecting vulnerable communities in Pakistan.

The first report focused on the experiences, challenges, and protection concerns of minority women among internally displaced persons (IDPs). The study highlighted the intersectional vulnerabilities faced by displaced women from minority communities and provided a set of practical recommendations aimed at improving humanitarian response, social inclusion, protection mechanisms, and access to essential services.

The second report examined the growing challenges of radicalization and violent extremism, with particular emphasis on the constructive role that young people can play in promoting social cohesion, tolerance, and sustainable peace. The publication explored pathways for youth engagement in peacebuilding initiatives and offered recommendations for strengthening community-based approaches to preventing violent extremism.

In addition to these thematic publications, RDF produced its first Annual Report (2025–2026), which documents the organization's institutional development, programmatic achievements, partnerships, governance milestones, and community-level interventions undertaken during its formative year. The report serves as a comprehensive reflection of RDF’s efforts to contribute to peacebuilding, social inclusion, humanitarian action, and community resilience across Pakistan.

Through these knowledge products, RDF seeks not only to document emerging challenges and lessons learned but also to contribute to informed policy dialogue, evidence-based advocacy, and the design of more effective development and peacebuilding interventions in the future.
